Hi, I'm Jonathan Sealey - a Functional Patterns Human Biomechanics Specialist (HBS3), practicing full time between my home studio in Glenhaven (NSW, 2156) and Functional Patterns Sydney.
I provide a comprehensive approach to movement that actually addresses the root causes of your pain and dysfunction in the body. By focusing on how the body moves - and applying proper alignment and fundamental movement patterns, I can help you improve your posture, reduce pain, and increase overall mobility and strength.

MY FUNCTIONAL PATTERNS JOURNEY
Born in England, I became a certified Personal Trainer in 2009 before moving to Sydney with my family. Growing up as the “skinny guy,” I spent years chasing size and strength through programs like HIIT, Insanity, P90X, and Body Beast. After years of hard work and eating big, I achieved the muscular physique I’d always wanted—but it came at a cost.
Despite the gains, I struggled with persistent pain, poor posture, and injuries from heavy lifting. Rounded shoulders, a forward-shifted head and hips, a hyper-arched lower back, locked knees, and duck feet made simple activities like walking and exercising uncomfortable. Physio, chiropractors, and posture braces offered only temporary relief, leaving me frustrated and searching for a better way.
In 2017, everything changed when I discovered Functional Patterns, a revolutionary approach to human movement and biomechanics. I began with Naudi Aguilar’s Power of Posture, which mapped out my dysfunctions perfectly, and progressed through the 10-Week Online Course, learning corrective exercises and Myofascial Release techniques. One-on-one sessions at Functional Patterns Sydney accelerated my progress, transforming not just my posture but the way I move and feel every day.
Today, my body is stronger, more functional, and pain-free. I move with ease, participate in sports comfortably, and feel years younger. I’ve completed the Functional Patterns Human Foundations Course and qualified as a Functional Patterns Human Biomechanics Specialist (HBS3). I now work full-time between Functional Patterns Sydney and my own studio in Glenhaven, guiding others to achieve the same life-changing results I’ve experienced firsthand.
